Hey there! 👋

PA Day is coming up on Monday (Jan 26) for elementary kiddos, right in the middle of this freezing cold weather! If the thought of entertaining the kids indoors for another winter day feels daunting, below are a handful of indoor picks you can mix and match.

We looked at reviews and recent notes to prioritize places where families often mention quiet hours, patient staff, and the ability to step out and come back.

Here is your scoop on where to go for a smoother PA Day.

Note: Details can change, please confirm on the official link before you go.

PA Day Special

Free library programs

If your kid does better with structure and predictability, program-based options can be the smoothest PA Day plan. These are usually lower pressure than open play, time boxed, and easy to step out for a quick break if needed.

Location: John elliott theatre (9 Church St, Georgetown)

PA Day Picks

Indoor backups

If the free library programs are getting loud, these indoor spots can work well for a short, predictable visit.

PA Days can be busy, so your best bet is going right at opening and before noon. Ask about music volume, quiet corners and if there are birthday parties going on. Breaks and re-entry are OK here.

Playcious Indoor Playground (Oakville)

Brainstorming Ideas

Surprisingly good options for some…

Mission Possible Escape Rooms

Location: Champs FEC Milton (300 Bronte St S, Milton)
Hours: Monday to Thursday 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM

Escape rooms can be fun: a clear goal, tangible puzzles, and you are focused on your own team with no crowd inside. Mission Possible also offers kids level difficulty with kids friendly themes (not the scary stuff).

The "Some":
Great for kids who love logic puzzles and teamwork. If you want the most kid-friendly vibe, start with a lighter theme like “The Wizarding World” on Kidz difficulty.

The Catch:
It is still timed, and “stuck” frustration can happen. At the beginning there’s usually a video playing that can be a bit loud for some. Ask the staff to turn the volume down.

Glow mini golf

Location: Putt In Glow (2085 Winston Park Dr, Oakville )
Hours: Monday to Thursday 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM

The “Some”
Good for kids who want movement but not chaos and enjoys glowing light. It’s structured and you can usually move at your own pace.

The Catch
Blacklights and glow effects can be a lot for some kids.
